Is this an extended warranty?
In practice, yes. The Harley-Davidson Extended Service Plan works like an extended factory warranty. It covers more than 1,100 parts, including engine, transmission and other major systems, with a $50 deductible per repair visit.
Can I add a plan to a used bike?
Yes. Used bikes are eligible, including a bike you bought from a private seller. Bikes up to 20 years old qualify, and several years of coverage are possible. This is for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Do I need good credit?
No. There is no credit check and everyone is approved. Financing for the plan is 0% interest. This applies to the protection plan only, not to a bike purchase.
What happens if I sell or trade the bike?
Two options. The contract can transfer to the next owner, which can help resale value. Plans are pro-rated, so if you trade, sell or pay off early, they can typically be cancelled for a refund of the unused portion. Ask Joe how it works for your plan.
What does it cost?
It depends on your bike, its mileage and the term you choose. Send the form and Joe will price it for you.
Does it cover tires and wheels?
Tire and wheel coverage for road hazard damage is optional, for an additional fee. Add it when Joe builds your quote.
